In Toulouse, the Cité de l’espace invites children and adults to explore the adventure of space. You can spot it from afar thanks to the full-size replica of the Ariane 5 rocket standing in its gardens.
What awaits families
More than 250 exhibits according to Toulouse Métropole: real modules from the Mir space station, a moon rock, replicas of spacecraft, two planetariums, an IMAX cinema and an astronomy dome. Younger children (aged 4 to 8) have their own dedicated area, the Cité des Petits.
Planning the day
Allow a full day to make the most of it. Tickets, opening hours, new features and access conditions: check the official Cité de l’espace website before you set off. The park is served by the Linéo 12 bus line (stop “Cité de l’espace”) and Linéo 1 (stop “Collège Vernant”).
From Carcassonne
Toulouse is in Haute-Garonne, outside the Aude: it is a day trip from our holiday rentals. For the journey time, use a route planner when you leave.
