The Pont Vieux and the banks of the Aude
The link between the Bastide and the Cité, with one of the finest views of the ramparts.

The Pont Vieux crosses the Aude between the Bastide Saint-Louis and the Cité. Reserved for pedestrians, it offers an open view of the ramparts, particularly beautiful at sunset and after dark.
A simple walk
Cross the bridge, follow the landscaped riverbanks, then climb up to the Cité: one of the most pleasant ways to link Carcassonne’s two faces.
